 Current activity

  • Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery in Patras University Hospital. Clinical Director of the Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery Programm in Patras University, including the Deep Brain Stimulation Clinic for treatment of movement disorders (Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, tremor), trigeminal neuralgia, spasticity, chronic pain.
  • More than 600 operations performed the last 4 years (trauma, functional, spinal procedures-instrumentation, brain tumors, pain procedures etc).


 Research activity

  • Deep Brain Stimulation applications, brain plasticity, disorders of consciousness, mild head injury, neuronavigation solutions in Neurosurgery.
  • National Coordinator ‘European network for the study of dystonia syndromes’, Cost action 1101, European Cooperation in Science and Technology.
